Rag & Bone Chairs

This Chair is made using ten of the caprolactone wax joint wraps and ten 1m sections of round timber. The wraps are immersed in hot water at 60°C for 5 minutes until the caprolactone wax becomes fluid and malleable enough to begin wrapping and joining sections of timber. The caprolactone wax will cool and begin to set hard again within a few minutes giving you a bit of time to wrap around and get your angles right.  On further application of heat the wraps can be released and reused meaning this chair could be remade into something else.
